Johnson Law Group has announced Manchester Foundation Trust Charity as its new charity partner for 2026, with both its Manchester and London office committed to raising money for the Trust’s MediCinema Appeal, to help bring the magic of movies to its patients.
The MediCinema appeal is raising funds to build a purpose-built MediCinema inside Manchester Royal Infirmary, at no cost to the NHS. Delivered in partnership with BAFTA Award-winning charity MediCinema, this fully accessible, 50-seat cinema will support patients from across Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, as well as Manchester Royal Infirmary itself.
With room for wheelchairs, hospital beds, and medical equipment, and supported by dedicated MediCinema nurses and trained volunteers, it will offer 260 screenings a year of the latest releases alongside much loved film favourites.
Throughout 2026, the firm will take part in a programme of fundraising activities including sporting challenges, team events and office-led initiatives.
Angela Rowe, Deputy Director of Manchester Foundation Trust Charity said: “We are delighted to be named as Johnson Law Group’s charity partner for 2026 and are incredibly grateful for their support of our MediCinema Appeal.
“This partnership will play a vital role in helping us bring a purpose-built MediCinema to Manchester Royal Infirmary, creating a welcoming and inclusive space where patients can experience the joy of film during their hospital stay.
“The commitment shown by Johnson Law Group across both its Manchester and London offices will help us make a real and lasting difference to patients and families across our Oxford Road Campus hospitals.”
Nathan Holt, Charity Ambassador at JLG said: “We are incredibly proud to be supporting Manchester Foundation Trust Charity and the MediCinema Appeal in 2026. The idea of giving patients the chance to escape, even briefly, through the shared joy of film really resonated with our team. Knowing that this cinema will bring comfort, distraction and moments of normality to people during what can be very difficult times makes this partnership especially meaningful for us.”
The partnership reflects Johnson Law Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting meaningful causes that have a direct, positive impact on the communities in which it operates. To see JLG’s JustGiving page, please click here.
