Johnson Law Group secures further extension to DPF Group Litigation sign-up deadline

Johnson Law Group is pleased to announce that the High Court has granted a further extension to the Cut-off Date in the ongoing Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Group Litigation.

Johnson Law Group is pleased to announce that the High Court has granted a further extension to the Cut-off Date in the ongoing Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Group Litigation.

The new Cut-off Date is 17 December 2025,which means the deadline for client registration is now December 3rd 2025,extended from the original deadline of August this year.

This is a significant milestone, giving more affected drivers the opportunity to join the claim and strengthening the collective voice of the group. Importantly, this extension will not impact the litigation timetable or our clients’ route to potential compensation. The Court will only grant an extension where it is satisfied that the trial timetable will remain unaffected.

Case preparation continues at pace, with Johnson Law Group meeting all procedural milestones. The next major step will be the Case Management Conference in early 2026, where the Court will set further directions to keep the case on track for trial.

Tens of thousands of drivers across the UK have already signed up to the DPF claim, which centres on allegations that certain Jaguar Land Rover diesel vehicles were fitted with defective DPFs. These alleged defects have led to repeated warning lights, frequent forced regenerations, costly repairs, and in some cases, permanent engine damage.

Drivers who purchased or leased a Jaguar or Land Rover diesel vehicle between 2015 and 2024 may be eligible to join the claim. Registration remains open until 3 December 2025.
